Cayuga DMV Is Temporarily Operating From the Public Safety Building

Cayuga County says DMV service is temporarily located at the Public Safety Building on County House Road in Sennett.

Cayuga County’s DMV information is a location update, not just a service menu. While the County Office Building remains closed, DMV service is temporarily operating from the Cayuga County Public Safety Building at 7445 County House Road in the Town of Sennett. The walk-in setup does not require appointments and is handled in arrival order.

Before heading to downtown Auburn by habit, write down the Sennett address and line up the ordinary DMV proof you would need. That may include identity documents, license or permit paperwork, registration, title, plates, insurance card, payment, and any state DMV form tied to the errand. The temporary site can handle most transactions, which is reassuring for routine business.

The main exception is specific and worth catching early. In-person CDL testing is unavailable until further notice, while regular and motorcycle permit testing can be completed at the temporary Public Safety Building location. If your errand depends on CDL testing, an unusual form, or a timing-sensitive transfer, confirm the route before driving over. This is a manageable detour when you aim for the right building.
