Suffolk Green Key Controls Park Rates and Reservations

Suffolk residents should verify Green Key status before booking camping, marina, or beach access that depends on county park rules.

Published June 23, 2026 · Last verified June 23, 2026

Suffolk County’s Green Key is more than a park card. The holder is a Suffolk County resident, gives access to county parks, and provides reduced fees for park activities. It is also required for the online reservation system for camping and marina reservations, and is good for three years from purchase. Outer beach access has its own 4x4 permit route, sold year-round at listed offices and online, with in-season sales at some beach offices.

Confirm Green Key expiration, permit type, and beach conditions before planning a seasonal trip.

The clean move in Suffolk County is to turn the question into one named record. From Suffolk County Parks: Green Key Card, save the exact green key or parks, the date, and the number or address that would let an office find the same thing again. Write Suffolk County Parks beside the note, especially when a later question turns on money, title, access, a permit, a license, or a deadline. Suffolk County green key or parks follow-up goes better when the next call starts with the exact words from the form or notice.
