Ulster Land Record Fees Need the Clerk Schedule

Ulster County land recordings can add cover-sheet, page, form, transfer-tax, and mortgage-tax charges.

Ulster County land-record costs should be checked against the Clerk’s schedule before a document packet is finalized. Recorded documents include deeds, mortgages, assignments, powers of attorney, and satisfactions, with records available from 1685 to the present. The schedule lists $45 for the county-generated cover sheet plus $5 per page for recording and indexing. It also includes a $5 combined affidavit fee, RP-5217 charges of $125 or $250 depending on form boxes, transfer tax of $4 per $1,000 or fraction of consideration, and mortgage tax of 75 cents per $100 or fraction of debt.

Page count and document type drive the estimate.

Use the Clerk schedule for the land-record fee. A permit, tax balance, title opinion, inspection, or court matter needs its own record and office.

Check the Ulster County Clerk land-record fee schedule against the document being filed. Keep the property address, document type, fee details, search date, and record number with the filing packet.
