Utica Monthly Parking Applications Need a Current Check
Utica drivers should check the city off-street parking page before assuming a new monthly parking application is available.

Utica parking can surprise people who assume a monthly permit is just another form to print. The city off-street parking page currently notes that Utica is not accepting new monthly parking applications, with the notice tied to the Division of Off-Street Parking.
That does not mean every parking question is closed. It means a commuter, downtown worker, student, courthouse visitor, or new tenant should check the current city page before building a routine around a monthly spot. A parking plan that worked for a friend last year may not match what the city is taking now.
The page also gives a little city-history clue for why this office has a particular name. Utica’s Parking Authority ended operations as an authority in 2007, and its functions moved into the City of Utica as the Division of Off-Street Parking.
Before paying for an apartment, promising a tenant parking, or starting a new downtown job, check the city parking page and write down the current answer. In Utica, a parking plan should be current before it becomes part of the household budget.
