Westchester Parcel Maps Need Assessor Follow-Up

The county GIS viewer helps identify a parcel, but local assessor records and deeds carry the property details.

A Westchester buyer can use the county GIS viewer to get oriented before making an offer, but the map should not end the check. Westchester GIS says the Municipal Tax Parcel Viewer can identify local parcel data by address, print key, and owner name when available. It can also print maps or export results. Parcel boundaries are approximate and should not replace a survey, deed, property description, or municipal tax map.

The practical route is the viewer to confirm the municipality and parcel identity.

Then call the local assessor for the record behind the map. Separate what this record proves from the next permit, tax, title, inspection, or court question.

For Westchester County, let the record lead. Use Westchester County GIS: Municipal Tax Parcel Viewer for the public starting point, then keep the exact GIS or parcel viewer, search date, and identifying number with the file. Keep the office name with the file too: Westchester County GIS. If the answer affects money, title, access, a permit, a license, or a deadline, that name keeps the next call from starting cold. Westchester County GIS or parcel viewer paperwork is less fussy when the address, parcel, citation, account, or application number is written down early.
