Oswego County DMV Has Three Local Office Routes

Oswego County drivers have more than one local DMV route, which matters in a long county. The county DMV page says the Registration and License Department of Motor Vehicles is supervised by the Oswego County Clerk and mandated by New York State statute.

A county REAL ID reminder lists three DMV offices: Oswego at 384 East River Road, Fulton at 200 North Second Street, and Pulaski at 2 Broad Street. The main DMV page now separates summer hours from the rest of the year. It also gives earlier cutoffs for permit and CDL tests and lists an evening window at the Oswego office on Wednesdays.

The DMV FAQ page gives mail-in renewal detail for licenses, permits, and non-driver IDs. Residents of Hastings, Schroeppel, Granby, Scriba, Oswego, and Mexico should check the county DMV page before choosing the nearest office or mailing paperwork.

Choose among Oswego, Fulton, and Pulaski only after matching the current season, test cutoff, and service you need. A renewal that fits the mail route is a different errand from a transaction that needs an office visit or identity documents. Keep the transaction name, expiration date, and required paperwork together so the closest office is also the right office.
