Oswego DMV hours change with the season

Oswego County DMV planning has a seasonal wrinkle. During regular hours, September through May, the offices run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with permit testing until 4:00 p.m. and CDL testing until 2:00 p.m. During summer hours, June through August, the day shifts earlier: 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with permit testing until 3:00 p.m. and CDL testing until 1:00 p.m.

There is also a local office detail worth circling. Oswego County has DMV offices in Oswego, Fulton, and Pulaski, but the Wednesday evening window belongs to the Oswego office only. In summer, that Oswego evening window runs from 8:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.; in regular months, it runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

That is easy to mix up if the errand starts in Fulton, Pulaski, Mexico, Central Square, or a lake-shore town. Permit tests, CDL tests, plates, registration, and title work do not all share the same clock.

Before leaving, name the office and the season. Oswego County gives residents a useful evening option, but it is not the same at every counter.
